"THEN GOD SAID, ‘LET THE LAND PRODUCE VEGETATION:
SEED-BEARING PLANTS AND TREES ON THE LAND THAT BEAR
FRUIT WITH SEED IN IT, ACCORDING TO THEIR VARIOUS
KINDS.’ AND IT WAS SO."

OUR STORY

The first inklings of a dream began after a visit to Boston in 2018. In 2020, Eric Thornton and his cousin Duane McNeil, along with their wives, Emily Thornton and Cinddy McNeil had a dream and a venture in mind: a new juice bar in Pittsburgh.

The dream was clear: Music playing, happy workers, delicious smoothies and snacks, and best of all, juice made with both mind, body, and tastebuds in mind.

As the pandemic carried on, the team started to think about an appropriate location for a juice bar. One night, Eric and Emily went to Southside for food at one of their favorite restaurants. To their disappointment, that particular restaurant had shut down, but the trip proved to be fruitful: as they were walking back to the car, Eric stopped and looked inside of an empty little spot on East Carson St. It was perfect.

At each interval, God showed his faithfulness.  After many meetings, and a long process of building, planning, and preparing, the dream of 1:11 became realized.

Joyfully, 1:11 Juice Bar will open its doors to the public on April 1 2022, with it’s second location opening in summer of 2022.

The 1:11 Team is elated to serve the Pittsburgh community. We hope you’ll join us on this journey.
